The four musicians met each other playing together in the Berlin Soundpainting Orchestra a collective based on the live composition sign language called “Soundpainting”. When the quartet was formed, in 2015, they were focusing on a way to combine improvised with organized music. They found it in the use of “Graphic scores”. Their repertoire is a combination of free improvisation and unconventional scores composed by the members of the band or taken from the contemporary classical music repertoire
